I think your thoughts are on target. I agree that Williams is probably a big player with a lot of stock. There are probably similar big _investors. (No comment. I have no idea what is going on. I will not waste my time, and yours, speculating.)
Perhaps there can still be a positive outcome for "plain old vanilla" investors. I will be watching. However, I consider my investment in RCPI to be: "Gone With The Wind." But I, as well as many of you, will be watching. A miracle might happen.
The current management team and some other powerful players will call the direction and shots. I suspect they will do very well financially regardless of what happens to RCPI now or in the future. I wish them well for their positive contributions. I hope that honesty and integrity will be a part of their future action plan.
