Correct..they are the control group which the results of the study will be compared to.

They are being treated like every other non-study patient is being treated. Nothing is withheld from their care

But aren't there already thousands of H&N cancer patients that are already getting SOC without ever knowing about this study. Could CVM not access those records/statistics?
If multikine works really well (as in the phase II study) where some patients actually had a full remission then what do they do...give them SOC anyway???
