#20901 RE: Ray-Ban #20900

Ray, that's the way it was relayed to me by a senior advisor at fidelity who did some research specifically on this topic for me with the help of the "cost basis team" for my distributions. However, he could not yet tell me how much or when my offsetting "loss" would be - or if it would be treated as long or short. Apparently this is all contingent on how AMR files the forms with the IRS and how any final value (5th distribution) is determined.

Either way... Gains are what they are for now, including tax basis (including dates), and sometime in the future we will get to see the rest of the movie.

In the end this will be the most complex trade ever I've made when you include each lot and tax implications and time offsets. Quite the learning experience, and maybe a model for other bankruptcies to salvage value to shareholders.
