If I am reading that right, they pretty much have to give one to $TRTC now.

Not necessarily. As much as I'd love for TRTC to get those dispensary licenses, there is still a very real possibility that the local commissioners will not approve those other 8 applicants (TRTC included), keep Clark county at 10 instead of 18 dispensaries (the commissioners mentioned this in the hearing just a few days ago), and wait for the 10 day review process next year to fill out the remaining 8. After all, it's only one year.

We will see soon enough. We all have the date marked. Fingers crossed.

I agree and I have stated in the past that TRTC will very likely pull 2-3 out of CC. CC ran the process azz backwards. Furthermore, the state will always win should they decide to and this seems to be a bit more than just posturing by the state. It's now been laid out in black and white. CC will not likely wait a full year. That's a lot of lost tax revenue. 8 dispensaries at $15mm in revs each is $120mm in taxable money. It's illogical to wait a full year. Even if they wait to select again, the selections still would have to be approved by the state. It's not like CC could pick the same 8 that they previously selected. The state will just say no again and put CC back to square one. The state always wins. So TRTC wins.

Great find Sleek.

GLTA TO ALL THE GOOD GUYS AND DHAR MANN AND THE HOMELESS GUY!!!

Sleek - I've read the division's paper and I don't see how this puts Medifarm any closer to placing boots on the ground. How do you consider this match point? Enlighten me if you will.

Thank you for posting that very important letter from the State of Nevada.

State officials notified Clark county in writing that the division cannot issue provisional certificates to any more applicants beyond the 18 it ranked because the 90-day application review period has ended. That period expired Nov. 3. So, Clark County can reject some or all of the 8 ranked by the state. If they reject any of them that will reduce the number of dispensaries Clark County will open. There is too much tax money involved not to open a dispensary. Therefore Medifarm will get both dispensaries in Clark County. TRTC will be 8 for 8 and set up to make 100s of millions in revenue out of their Nevada operations. The meeting scheduled for Dec 3rd will most likely decide the final outcome in Clark County.

This may be your best find. And logic says yes. There is no guarantee, but to not award them seems to defy rational logic.

Hard to argue where the implication lies. Great find.
