The low level Scottrade dude I talked to had to call the corporate office. Someone at corporate, I do not know how informed the person was, said that he would recommend holding past the ex-dividend date. He seemed to imply that the record date did not matter. He also said that they knew nothing of the impending dividend, i.e. they had no official information on it. I had to point him to the PR.
