This was from BIG's facebook page so apparently NTEK thinks the NP-1 is not key business:

Dave sent me this:

The NP-1 has
never been a key product to the business, and it was a vehicle to get
UltraFlix onto platforms that didn't support it. The big profits are not in
one time sales, but in repeat sales with no cost of goods. Once the
UltraFlix customers come in droves this holiday season, profits will be up
substantially and that will drive share price.

For us shareholders of NTEK have been waiting for about year and a half for NP-1 to come out. Our attitude toward 4K and NP-1 is like "come on already!"

For general consumers, 4K is the new thing now. When Sony rolled out their 4K television and their player, it was a novelty rather than something everyday Joe would buy and sport in his home.

The hold up, I think, is the perfectionist mentality. Currently there is no other real competition. There are other 4K streaming players out, but they are just as well known as Nuvola NP-1s. Without 4K contents, players would be useless. I don't think they want to put out a player with not enough content, and lost consumers' interest momentum.

From what I've seen, the company is real. If I lose my money from investing in NTEK, then I would be just like those that lost their money from investing in WaMu.
