ANESRI, I don't think we need a moderator. Two things would enable a person to build his own site.
1. Put a "rec" button on the site. This lets the posters decide what is important. If a post receives a lot of rec's you will definitely want to read that post. So many important things go unnoticed because they get buried by the rah, rah posts.
2. Allow unlimited "ignore" button, 5 is not enough. This allows you over time to filter out the pumpers.
My allegiance is really with the IV board where I retreated to when the Yahoo board blew up. They have all of the above and much more. The posters actually worked with the originator and built the site to their specifications.
