The XL approval has absolutely no bearing on STWA whatsoever. The XL is simply an extension of the keystone pipeline which is 3x the size of the XL. TransCanada operates plenty of pipeline, don't worry about that.
TransCanada wouldn't have spent time and money testing if it was only meant for XL. There are plenty of pump stations all across Canada and in the US that could use the AOT.
