Really? This will help 'boost' the housing market recovery? What planet do these guys live on?

Castro suggested that the next Congress consider legislation that would wind down and eventually eliminate mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as part of the effort to boost the housing market's recovery.

Castro did not say that, but the reporter took the usual line of 'wind down and eliminate' and inserted it; still, I really don't get how Watt, Obama's pick, can be talking about improving FnF for the long term to improve market confidence, and then Obama starts the 'wind-down' talk up again. It's why I voted for the Libertarian candidate in the Kay Hagan race in NC, wasn't going to vote for Tillis, but I wasn't going to vote for Hagan either. They are all just frothing at the mouth nuts and party line hacks...

Maybe Castro was just being glib, but one has to think he has his talking points handed to him.

To me, it can only mean that Obama sees this issue as one that can be made to 'look' like something is being done, without any real intention of getting anything done and knowing it's impossible.

Always politics....never common sense or decency or rule of law....
