Well perhaps you are not aware that animal studies are frequently porcine in nature due to the anatomical similarities .

Design freeze is an actual term or no additional changes may also be used but to move forward it can not be a viable approved product with changes actively occurring or then it becomes a different product !!!! After approval modifications can be made with very little documentation but it does have to be documented .

The company is not as mysterious as many on here give it credit this is simply a process a time consuming process but a process none the less .

Fowler told me they would be doing a "series of porcine choles" prior to human trials. Spoke with him awhile back.

PointofReturn referred to the "Design Freeze" being mentioned at Titan's annual meeting last spring as management's next most significant milestone. The finalization of the design is the official end of the development phase and the beginning of the regulatory/approval phase. It is a major step!
