Fred Neufeld is a shareholder in Stradling’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice.

Mr. Neufeld represents both debtors and creditors in out-of-court debt restructurings and in chapter 9 and chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.

He has represented business debtors and confirmed chapter 11 plans in the bankruptcy courts in California, Nevada, and Delaware.

Mr. Neufeld has an active practice representing:
- Asset buyers in Section 363 sales
- Agents for syndicates of secured lenders in debt restructurings
- Ad hoc bondholder committees
- Official creditors committees


Mr. Neufeld has published articles in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and the Banking Law Journal. His articles have been cited by the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and bankruptcy courts in California, New York, and Florida.

In recent years he has made presentations on U.S. bankruptcy law at educational programs organized by the U.S. State Dept. for (a) the committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China working on enacting new bankruptcy laws, and (b) members of the Civil Division of the Supreme Court of Tunisia.
