Sure is. As an investor it's stressful & we all wish everything was already a go. Having said this, Best Buy on floor staff will know of a new item 7 days in advance roughly.
Oh please...stop making unsubstantiated crap up. Been in and out of retail jobs for years, kmarts, hudsons, meijer, krogers...etc.. NONE of them ever got sale items less than a month away from sale dates. Stock was shuffled around constantly for sales and our plan-o-grams were always a month at least in advance. Retail works on months ahead planning,,, NOT days or weeks. It's impossible without long range stock flow control and back room management in retail product inventory. Halloween stock was in the backrooms in August and Christmas is taking up space in September.
Best Buy is no different, but they don't have such set seasonal's as discount retailer big box. But Best Buy maintains a tight inventory system and discount system to move product.
Nothing is done last minute or in a weeks time. It's practically more than a couple of weeks just to print any hardcopy, let alone make labels and shelf ID's and tags.
