Cowtown: The "nexus of criminal elements" was Metter and Moscowitz. Several of their cronies did actual prison time, but the two principals who masterminded this scheme got off with a tiny fine (Metter) and probation (Moscowitz).
The DOJ case was totally botched and Loretta Lynch should not be confirmed as our next US Attorney General.
Agreed. IMO, the covering up by the SEC and DOJ of some of the ...other criminal activity in this saga...along with the simple mishandling of evidence, etc...will probably lead Lynch to remove her name from consideration. She can't afford to have this case exposed to scrutiny in the future.
