Be a company who invents and licenses instead, then mission accomplished.

The company certainly hasn't invented anything related to video compression or streaming. No patents filed, no nothing. All stock stuff, right off the shelf. Stuff anyone can buy.

The game thing? Sure, they might have made a trivial patent or two for gaming algorithms. I doubt it, but Foley has a long history with games, so it's possible. Certainly, they're more credible on games than on all the Ultraflix stuff.

In fact, if there is anything real to the game tech, then they were foolish to roll it out under NTEK, where federal investigations and bankruptcy might bury that tech under a mountain of red tape and legal encumbrances. That is to say, after Foley's thrown his friends and relatives into the soup where they're facing time in federal prison (and he himself of course walks), he might not even be free to peddle the Vegas game.

No one knows how the end game with NTEK will ultimately play out.
