These are semantics. Inventory is inventory, whether one calls it the "channel" or not.
The end-result is the same. How can Intel grow faster than the market as predicted by IDC?
Maybe it's continued market share gain - for a while until that stops. Maybe IDC is wrong and units will pick up. Maybe there are distortions in the market where low-end laptops are disrupting the seasonal trends in a way similar to netbooks.
