killianpsi,

can you support your statement that there will be two judgments with scripture? I know about one Judgment before the Great White Throne, where all dead will be judged. But I never heard of a separate judgment for the believers. And, certainly, no trace of scripture where states we will be at the Final Judgment as spectators.

Thank you.

Actually killianpsi, I believe in three judgements.

The first judgment took place at the cross and was a result of the sacrifice of our Lord, when we moved from the law to grace. Those who had died under the law were judged under the law and became the "first fruits".

Romans 10:3-5
"4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

The second judgment is as you say, in the air, and is for all believers in Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:14-17

The third judgment is also as you say, the great white throne judgment, held after the millennium, and is primarily for unbelievers. I say primarily for unbelievers because one verse indicates to me that there may be some believers present at this judgment.

Revelation 20:15
"And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of fire."

This indicates to me that there are some saved at this judgment. It could possibly be those who had passed through the millenium and during the millennium had accepted the Lord.

I remember being told years ago by a elder friend, that he believed that the millennium would be a time for all the babies, young people or ancient peoples who had never heard of the Lord or the Law, to be brought back to life and we would educate them.

Just a thought. Isaiah does talk about young children being on earth during the millennium.

kpsi: Coming Judgments

I believe there is going to be at least 5 judgments, perhaps more.

1) Bema Judgment of Believers - already discussed.

2) Judgment of the nation Israel, because 'they are not all Israel which are of Israel' (Rom 9.6). Ez 20-34-38, Matt 25.1-30. God will separate the saved from the unsaved, with the saved being allowed to enter the Millennial Kingdom on earth. It would seem to occur at the Second Advent, after rthe battle of Armageddon.

3) Judgment of the Nations (Gentiles). Joel 3.1-2, Matt 25.31-46. It appears that this is a judgment of living individuals of the nations, not the dead, and the purpose is to declare their spiritual condition - saved or unsaved. Again, the saved will enter the Millennial Kingdom. This appears to happen after the judgment of Israel.

4) Judgment of Angels - II Pet 2.4, Rev 20.10. This judgment may occur right before the Great White Throne since it would be logical to assume that the fallen angels would take part in the last rebellion by Satan (Rev 20.7-9). It appears that we believers will take part in this (I Cor 6.3 - 'Know ye not that we shall judge angels?')

5) Great White Throne Judgment - Rev 20.11-15. The final judgment and sentencing of the unsaved to the lake of fire.

In His Name,
