Be careful there, there is one on this board who may not agree with you, since he believes there will be several judgments, and that the believers will not be at the final judgment, other than as spectators.

CROWNS FOR BELIEVERS

It appears that they were be at least 5 crowns given to believers for their service while on earth. BTW, these are not crowns of royalty, but rather 'victor's' crowns.

1)Incorruptible Crown - I Cor 9.25 - given to those who strive to gain control over or master their temptations and sin in our lives. ('temperance')

2) Crown of Joy ('Rejoicing') - I Thes 2.19 - given apparently to all believers (?).

3) Crown of Righteousness - II Tim 4.8 - given to those who look forward to Christ's coming for His Bride.

4) Crown of Life - Jms 1.12 - given to those who are persecuted for the Gospel. (the martyr's crown)

5) Crown of Glory - I Pet 5.4 - given to those who shepherd over the flock (the pastor's crown).

These will be meted out at the Bema judgment for the saved described in I Cor 3.11-15. This judgment is for Christians only, because it talks about those who build upon the foundation that is laid. Since the unsaved do not build upon this foundation, this must be for believers only.

It appears according to Rev 4.10, that we will be so thankful to the Lord for His sacrificial love, that we will cast our crowns at the feet of our Saviour.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15. This judgment is reward or loss but does not affect our eternal reward of eternal life with Jesus.

This judgment is to reward Christians for their service to the Lord while on earth.
