Please provide a link showing that onshore seismic is more accurate than offshore. Saying it is so does not make it so. In the ocean there is usually a lot of water before you get to the ocean floor. That is what makes it an ocean. Then you have many layers of sandy sediment which is pretty easy to shoot seismic through. On land you are usually shooting through a mile of rock instead of a mile of water and sediment to get to the same depth below sea level. And no I don't have any questions for you. I have a pretty good grasp of the basics.

The biggest problem you have offshore is salt layers. Those can be difficult onshore or offshore. Volcanic rock is also an issue which is far more common onshore. Salt is probably more common offshore but volcanic rock is more common onshore. In any case, there is no evidence that seismic is more accurate onshore. Just curious, where did you come up with idea?
