If is what the market wants, then they rally wednesday, like in 1988, but that is all. Same happened in 1994, only then the markets sold off into the end of the week, and then rallied into options expiration, and sold off hard into thanksgiving, setting up one of the great bull market rallies in 1995.
But the economy and the previous market actions were totally different then, but the election is the same.
