I think this estimate is very misleading. Let's assume your calculation is correct. While 1 ml solution may contain trillions of molecules, that is not the number available to interact with viruses. Each micelle is made up of hundreds to thousands of phospholipid molecules with a molecular weight in the tens of thousands. The technical terms are cmc, aggregation number etc. Secondly there has to be space between the micelle particles, otherwise it will all fuse into one glob of lipid.

So yes there may be a trillion molecules there, but only billion micelle particles to interact with viruses. I hope somebody in the company can clarify. It is still a high number, but the ratio of virus to viricide has suddenly become much smaller.
