WOW, Really? That was in Virginia? Then that puts it really close to me then. Greetings from Central Virginia! LOL
The launch was on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I applied for NASA positions out there when I was leaving the service. Would have had a front row seat. We were waiting for the launch the previous night when it was scrubbed and around the time we were heading out to see if we could see the launch the following night it broke over the wire that the rocket had blown up just off the launch pad. Really sucks for the company...
