#195494 RE: BioBS2012 #195492

BioBS2012, you may be correct. I have been looking for it too but can't find it either.

Synergies with Docetaxel I am almost sure he said that. But I also recall a discussion about immuno-suppressive and immuno-stimulant drugs and Bavi not working well with the former and working good with the later in combo's.

Now you may be correct about Carbo (because as I posted it seems to mild side effects and therefore can be suspected to be immuno-stimulatory) but now after your post I am completely unsure about Permetrexed.

Still, my reason for adding it at the immuno-suppressing side was that on it's own it worked less good then when it's dosage was reduced and carbo was added. So I am not sure if S. King (and I don't remember him saying that but I full accept that he did) did single out Carboplatin and Permetrexed or if he referred to them as a COMBO which could then make sense. Lower Perm and increase Carbo and you shift the balance of 'total quantification of immuno-suppression' toward neutral or immuno-stimulating.

And then it makes sense that Bavituximab can be the missing ingredient to give the last push in the right direction to just not allow side-effect damage to progress to a harmful, posibly in the long term killing, stage.
