I went on the TSA board and couldn't find a list of ETD devices qualified for passenger/baggage screening. I'm assuming I missed it, the government's website being what it is, but our collective understanding is, only Implant has achieved qualification under the new standards. I went on the Smiths and Morpho websites and there was nothing about new or updated products being qualified for passenger/baggage screening. Ergo, it seems clear we're the only game in town. Otherwise the competition would have featured such an achievement on their sites and in PR releases. (There was a PR release from Smiths dated September 29, 2014, about a new non-radioactive ETD cargo screener, the 600 Ionscan, that replaces the 500DT). We, of course, are focused on passenger/baggage screening sales. So is the competition. Now if I were one of THEIR sales reps, I would bash the heck out of Implant. "It's a tiny company with a laughable balance sheet, a few minor league scientists and probably won't exist in a year. On the other hand, you've been with our company for years; we're large, established, have a world-class R+D operation and will roll out a series of fantastic new ETD products by year end. You can count on us in the future as you have in the past ..." The point is, passenger/baggage screening sales to the TSA is not only critical to the top and bottom line, it provides proof positive to prospects worldwide who have heard the competitors' screed that IMSC is for real, will be here forever, and indisputably has the best product. When the TSA talks, the market listens! We NEED a significant TSA sale to open the flood gates globally. Until then, we can expect oneys, twoseys. I believe the gates will open soon, given minor clues like the new job posting for an SEC-related accountant to major cues like the recently-announced $2 million R+D partnership with the TSA. The TSA wants us on its team; that's been clear for a year, when it had the budget available to purchase then-qualified competitive products, and passed. There's a reason it waited for us. Think about it. And rejoice.
