Even junior oil companies do the same thing.
Junior oil companies are known for doing most of the work of finding & proving oil in someplace & then selling it to a major oil company for a profit. Sometimes the little guy doesn't have the money or resources that a major Co. has to develop said company all the way to the potential it can be.
