Joe: I have no idea on just how large the short position is here but I would bet the carrying costs are driving those short nuts. They have big bucks tied up to avoid margin calls and they have no opportunity to cover profitably since those who own shares refuse to sell. With Merrill getting fined yesterday for NSS and with the SEC stating their intention to close some of the loopholes that have existed in this regard the pressure has been turned up. Interesting days ahead. Go TEVE!!! Revenues/earnings/dividends!
