Wilma: It is impossible to issue a short sale transaction at .0001. I was going to say, "for obvious reasons" but clearly it is not obvious. If I short a stock, I purchase those shares at a price less than current market price in the hopes that I can later purchase those shares at the lower price.
At .0001, the broker would cancel the short sale because a) the share cannot be purchased at a lower price, b) the transaction value is too low for a margin account.
