In the meantime, I'll just use my credit cards. Like a caveman.
In Canada and Europe most credit cards and bank cards come with a smart chip, these allow for small transactions eg. less than $50 to be done by touching the card instead of inserting it into a terminal and entering your PIN, the combination of a smart chip and PIN makes it very secure. I have had my Card Hacked /defrauded about 3 times in the last decade, in most cases it happens after I have been on Vacation and had to sign on a paper transaction the old fashion way. Apple wants a piece of the lucrative transaction fee, I am sure that the banks/credit card companies in Canada and Europe will tell apple to take a hike. The banks in the U.S. have been stupid in not quickly implementing a smart chip credit card system this has given apple a small window of opportunity to get a foothold in the U.S.A.; You can make a small argument touch I.D. makes all transactions more secure, I don't think its worth what apple is asking for it. For large purchases a combination of a pin and smart chip is pretty secure. For small purchases taping the credit card is very fast, the bottle neck in the Tim Hortons/Star bucks line is usually caused by the person paying with cash.
