#21536 RE: Level2Me #21530

If its of any interest, 2 and half years ago, I saw a talking head on CNBC recommend SLTD as a spec buy. He devoted probably less than a minute on the subject, but he did say something like this. Its cheap, and if they are successful with this new solar panel, its going to go high. Its worth the risk.

So I bought $1,100 worth of shares at about 6 and a half cents. And promptly watched it go down in value. Over time I just about forgot about it. At times I looked at the reduced value and thought about selling, but just didn't need to, so didn't. Last January, as it started to rise somewhat, I started to really focus in, do research, found this board, and now am very loaded up from 6 to 20 cents. Sure wish I had bought at a penny though!

Any other first purchase tales?

I'm curious, what was it that influenced you to invest a year ago ( with 0 revenues etc.)? Was it purely technology? Or something else? I didn't get in until few weeks ago, currently averaged at 19 c.

I only had a few hundred dollars bucks in my account after the GWB robbery.
I did much reading and had many discussions about the environment and solutions.
Somebody mentioned how it would be great if SOALR3D technology would work.
I looked up the stock and it was about 3C, so me being a cheapskate bought 1,500 shares. Then when it got into the penny range I add more. what the heck 10,000 shares for a hundred or so.
Yes the technology was the big motivation.
I understand a development company not making money.
So because of environmental concerns I dumped FCX and bought more SLTD. Heck I love a cheap deal.
So it was part an informed decision, and half just dumb luck.
When they announced SWKS, I was wondering why. I believed that because the cell was so big and important, why was he wasting time on an installer. But in the long run it w was OK, and at least put a floor into the stock.
Heck, I didn't have much to lose.If I took the money out, I'd blow it and no possibilities. I missed having real money in the market and doing something with it.
With the few hundred in it I could watch it moving a few dollars. Suddenly it took off, and instead of hundreds, I broke $1,000. Hey, this is money. Then $2,000. Then $3,000. Wow! Can't wait to get into the $10K+ range... And would it be wonderful I I could get back into the $100K range where I started...
