While I'm as much an animal lover as anyone--2 cats, one dog, uncountable guppies--in antibacterials animal applications tend to devalue drugs. Someday it will add to the bottom line. For now, human applications are the dominant market, by far.

I talked to my dogs vet last week and he said resistance in farm and pet animals is starting to become a problem.
