One thing I believe is, the HP sure didn't hurt his recovery and I can't see any possible reason why it wouldn't help in any recovery since it is helping to cleanse the blood of dangerous cytokines and reducing the viral load.

Common sense would say those two things alone would help in recovery allowing the patient's immune system to be stronger and better able to produce the antibodies needed to destroy the virus. There is really nothing better than for a persons own body to cure itself in a natural sense which is exactly what the HP allows the persons own body to do.

We know for a fact the HP in lab testing of Ebola infected living monkeys and human blood the HP can reduce the viral load at least 50% in one four hour treatment. So why would it not work just as well if not better in real time, living human application?

I personally, which of course I have no medical, biological, training believe the HP helped this person to survive. How much help would be the question but the most important thing being it helped.

If it can help an extremely ill Ebola patient to recover, it should be able to help someone even more if it is used much earlier in the treatment protocol but Ebola isn't even the main goal of HP development. There are many widespread applications with HCV being the focus of our trials to help meet an unmet need for treatment.

Good news is always the best way to start a weekend. God bless all and lets hope we can save many lives with our commitment and continued investment in AEMD/ESI/HP.

I have to believe the Hemopurifier played the role it was designed to play which is a pretty big role. Every expert who knows anything about treating Ebola that I have seen says that treating Ebola or other infectious diseases takes a protocol that involves many pieces.

I wish the f'ing stock would move though! This is frustrating-should be much higher IMO.

Primary or not,

The operative word is co-therapy, such that the hp should've accelerated the efficacy of the donated blood or any pharmo introduced.
If not, that tends to void the information/protocols in the ASN link (post #7466/7470)

You can speculate all you want, but to be sure we will see a news release from JJ when appropriate that will QUANTIFY the amount of the Ebola virus that was removed from the patient's blood.

The Spanish Priest was given Zmapp and still passed away so I am not sure how much money I would bet on Zmapp at least for now or any other pharma product since none have actually proven themselves to be effective or even safe that I am aware of.

My big question would be why aren't we seeing the drug that Japan has which has been proven to cure Ebola? I just read about this a couple of days ago and it was the first I had seen mentioned of it but it has been used by Japan's military successfully from the Info I had read. It was comparing drugs in development especially the drug being tested by the Chinese military.
