I ran into the issue of showing no cost basis but was assured that it was all based on AAMRQ and my original buy ins. I hit the one year mark back in August but still holding long.
I'm a CPA and do accounting work for hedge funds at a hedge fund admin........this was a non-cash and non-taxable event so it should be based on AAMRQ, those "brokers" do not have any accounting or tax knowledge for the most part. They will get it right and prob send you and updated form after you file your taxes lol.
