north - I agree it is not sustainable perhaps now, but only if it is contained very well and there are not further deaths here in a short span or outbreaks in higher numbers. If there is a rash of 5 or 6 cases in week and some die of it, god forbid, then it will elevate fear imo.
Imo at that point then even the Pres. has to authorize a visa ban from the originating countries, like other nations in the world have.

The healthcare workers/ and up to 3k US troops sent to Africa and rotating here need to be planned for or quarantined for 3 weeks prior to departure for the incubation period to expire; otherwise we may get them back here with no initial symptoms but once landed within days may display the disease, same as that Doctor in NYC yesterday.

As of a couple weeks ago it was estimated by the news that there were only approximately 11 hospital bed/spots nation wide scattered between 4 or 5 centers which were equip/trained to handle with similar conditions, Emory, one in Montana, one in Neb (I think) and one in Md I believe, hopefully we can add Belvew in NYC to that list. I'm sure/hope that will quickly change, or at least I hope so.

Keep in mind the Govn't and CDC are down playing it to prevent panic while desperately playing catch up. Over 200 Drs. not to mention other healthcare workers and the overall patient, (in the thousands) have died treating/having it in Africa. So imho it is not as predictable as it is made out in an effort to calm the public.

Parents always said "Better safe than sorry", with Ebola the survival rate is not that good overall so err on the side of caution imho.
