I like your speculation about this. The discovery of potential ore close to the surface is a potential small black swan event, unexpected. If it turns out to be true is improves the economics of long-term mine development.
If I thought I could find enough investors here to pool our shares as collateral and get a loan for $6.5 million to get this started, I would do it in a heart beat. I would gladly put up 3 or 4 million of my shares in a collective collateral account. (It doesn't help to have everyone sell shares to get the money because we'd have millions of shares for sale.) I know this is pie-in-the-sky. A bank looking at this would have no way of knowing that the shares would not go down in price shrinking the collateral. But I can dream anyway. Plus, I could pick up chicks in bars by saying I own a gold mine. (more pie in the sky)
