A) It's a surprise to you that some people find that some of the more interactive content creation tasks are easier to perform on PC's than tablets?
B) It's not a surprise to you though, that apparently, many people ARE using tablets even for some of these more interactive content creation tasks? When I said people could and were doing so, I was told, categorically, that I was wrong. Turns out I wasn't wrong after all.
C) Any particular reason you didn't include the preceding paragraph?
The poor sales figures of recent years are due to numerous reasons though. Firstly, while consumers have clearly switched from PCs and laptops to tablets, their reasons for doing so aren’t just down to portability. Tablets are generally cheaper than mid-range and high-end laptops and in tough financial times, it makes absolute sense to cut outgoings. When a tablet does most things a PC can do but is cheaper and more compact, it’s small wonder that when upgrade time came, consumers opted for an iPad or Nexus 7 instead.
I've been saying exactly this for years now, to the vigorous denial of the Intel folks who told me that nobody buys tablets instead of PCs/laptops.
