Somewhere around half of people are "cured" with no antiviral drugs given, and there have been no trials that show that anyone was cured, or that an anti-Ebola drug was a failure, either. The numbers are too small.
It is not a waste of time for anyone to develop an effective and safe anti-Ebola treatment, since there currently is none available.
