Once someone convinces the government to re-schedule it to #2, then all the studies will show a positive light on pot, since it will open up funding for testing and production.
Until then it will stay where it is! No one will touch it if it stays on Schedule 1.
Because of the current classification, everyone is afraid of reporting the benefits for fear of losing funding. Other countries that are not as strict as here release studies that show how effective it is with almost 90% of the studies saying its an effective treatment and shine a positive light on it. In the US its the other way around with 90% of the papers showing how harmful it is. The studies are funded by big tobacco and alcohol for fear it will take profits away from them if people start using pot. Idiots.
