Boniuk's investment might foretell greatness, or it might not. But, considering his background and his position to see into the workings of NNVC and it's technology his confidence is encouraging. It seems that such an opinon bothers you. Why?

It bothers me because the cheerleaders will grasp on to the smallest of straws and tout it as proof-positive that "something wonderful is about to happen."

This has been happening for years. And nothing "wonderful" has yet happened.
