Yes, and No ... a patent application is sent to the Patent Office only after it has passed through several layers of scrutiny by the company's patent attorneys ... in this case, at two different law firms ... and it is difficult to get patent applications past either of these two firms ... I have looked into other known nucleoside structures myself and I have looked at the claims ... I do not think ACHN will have any issues in patent issuance or patent interference in the future ...
