These are federal mining claims. The BLM determines who the claim holder is. Bauman has always been the claim holder of Bouse and South Copperstone. He never went through the BLM to transfer the claims to anyone else. Therefore when he abandoned the South Copperstone claims they became available to anyone who wants to pick them up. Maybe FFGO or GPGI can sue Bauman depending on the relationship they had with Bauman. Bauman still holds the Bouse claims. As far as the BLM is concerned he can do what ever he wants to with them; lease them to someone else or abandon them. He has them for at least another year.
