If the arguments are that 4K cannot be pushed through the current pipes now...I'm interested in seeing how 8K will happen anytime soon.

Of course, if it's primarily going to be associated with broadcast TV and not IPTV then the pipe limitations aren't as important.

Either way..NTEK is here now and will be there then too. imo

NTEK will be ready for 8k too.

"The 70mm format has roughly 18,000 lines of resolution, making it naturally compatible with 4K delivery. Many of the films have been scanned in 8K resolution, and then down-converted to 4K."
