#15735 RE: Always wondering #15734

common sense tells me these are enough to prove it.

i do not see if they did this to help gse but to help the economy. would they pay fannie and freddie for all the good they did to the economy? can someone do an economic benefit that the nation received from fannie and fredie? that would be a big story. dpsim can do it.

i also do not see fhfa even once in this memo, so they are dealing directly?

Today, the Treasury Department is increasing its funding commitment to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure the strength and security of the mortgage market, to help maintain mortgage affordability, and to help keep interest rates low.

Why can't the treasury, fha be what ever they want to be at any one time?
When they were killing fnf , the fhfa was a private entity -perhaps they were insane at the time. They were like the fdic then , so no 5th adm applies. So they have multiple personalities after all -our economic security depends on this. It was for a noble cause so they can do want they want. This is sort of economic equivalent of the "24" series.
This may be sarcasm or it may be an advance copy of the next stupid judges ruling with slight paraphrasing to make it sound less crazy. I'm sure that private sector money can hardly wait to be new partners with the schizophrenic government in the new mortgage system. Perhaps some logical thinking will come out of Washington dc. before hell freezes over. There is some doubt in my mind about this as I think global warming is a real problem.
