Yes I do. I also remember those being nuclear FISSION reactors.

Fusion will not create a meltdown, and the minute waste created has a half-life of only 13 years. It uses hydrogen atoms (tritium) rather than uranium.

Fusion cannot cause runaway reactions like fission can. If there is a loss of control in a fusion reactor, the reaction will be starved of energy and will instantly shut down, by itself. Fusion reactors are passively stable, meaning that they require no action from operators for a safe shutdown.

I think this has a much more probable use in the very near future as the people of the planet demand reliable green energy. Biomass has its uses in small amounts in small countries, but not on a large scale.
