Honeycomb777, how do you know that the activities that Titan is currently conducting are not in support of long term PPS? Legally they are required to hold one annual meeting per year to update investors, plus update us once quarterly with the earnings and MD&A. They've done that to a tee, and their reports at each of those five checkpoints during the past year have shown that they've been moving in the right direction.

I'm in the camp that broadcasting what you're doing to your competitors is a good way to get squashed in the long run. I'd rather have then drive us crazy with silence and then produce the goods (which is kind of the feeling that I got when they announced the successful porcine chole back in June) rather than weekly updates that result in a lost competitive advantage.

For the record, I'm expecting them to slip up on the timeline sometime soon (probably with the FDA approval timeline due to bureaucracy), but in the long run I think the company has the new swiss army knife of MIS.

Just spoke to a general surgeon acquaintance of mine who I told about Titan back in the $0.40 pps days when I first learned about them. This guy thinks the snake arms and camera concept is really cool but says surgeons don't get excited until they see a product or at least a working model. Also said the hand interface is critical, and that any haptics is better than none. Also said ISRG is taking it on the chin because of all the negative press about robotics being oversold. This guy is a MIS proponent and MIS practitioner! Last thing he says to me in the hallway when I made a joke about making enough $$ to retire and why wasn't he invested, was, "Well I haven't heard anything about them in a long time".
