I think sometimes retail investors have a tendency to fixate too much on the day to day SP and worry about account balances. For a stock like this that is very volatile, that will lead to pointless anxiety and stress short term.
For me, only the facts matter and I know without a doubt that SP will grow at the appropriate time. Here is what I focus on :
1. OVRL has now taken the aggressive steps necessary to make it a leaner and meaner operation, which will only accelerate how quickly they can turn around and become profitable withOUT taking ANY and Glassware into consideration. This has to be very encouraging for institutional investors to see as they now know they can in a few short weeks invest in a combined company that has a very diverse and growing product portfolio of storage and VDI products, and a next generation virtualization protocol that is simply doing what the VMWares and Citrixs of the world cannot do. As evidenced by the deals announced so far.
2. OVRLs previous announcement that Q4 revenues were up 20% YOY is another strong signal that while the company has made all the right changes from an Ops. standpoint, the product portfolio with Glassware is gaining significant traction quickly.
3. Speaking of gaining traction, let's recap where Glassware has already made an impact (that we know of) and the customers and industries that we have made sales:
1. Novarad NovaGlass
2. OEM deal with Uniprint
3. Dell Drive Plus inclusion
4. Desktop as a Service (`DaaS`) agreement with an international services company
5. Expanded relationship with Corel
6. Sold to government, finance, education verticals
7. Managed Service Provider (MSP) deal through Ericsson
8. Thousand+ Chromebook implementation based on Glassware 2.0
9. A network of hospitals are implementing a combined solution that includes SnapServer DX2, V3 appliances, and Glassware2.0
10. A leading business productivity applications suite virtualized by the Glassware 2.0 and built on an Overland Storage cloud infrastructure
11. Virginia CCPS - 32,000 Chromebook/Glassware sale/implementation
12. Texas New Caney ISD/iStation - 9,000 Chromebook/Glassware implementation
And that is just what we know of so far. Ask yourself, how much are all these deals worth all together when fully matured? Especially #3 and #7? I'll give you a clue : it starts with a B.
4. Let's also briefly recap the top level talent (that we know of so far) that have jumped ship to come on board with Sphere. Why risk your reputation to come work for a startup??
- Stoney Hall - former Dell sales guru
- Peter Bookman - V3 mastermind
- Michael Keen - T Systems
- Nilesh Patel - Asurion/NetApp/Intel
Why would these guys leave those companies to come work for ANY??
5. Backing from Cyrus Capital, I don't know about you guys but I'll stick with the multi-billion dollar fund on this one
6. Sheldon Inwentash continuing to buy shares. 5 bucks, 10 bucks, it doesn't matter. He is buying them all. Do you think he knows something we may not?
7. And last but certainly not least, for me - I got to play with the tech at the AGM. Glassware just works. It's simple, it's lightning fast, and it does what the big guys can't. It is the "Apple of virtualization" with how easy to use and intuitive it is along with DCO. When I saw that with my own eyes and loaded Microsoft Office programs on a 2nd gen ipad faster than I had ever loaded any Office products on any of my work desktops, that was where I really got my moment of clarity and realized just how big this is all going to be.
Also, in just a few short weeks, ANY will be one combined entity and will get to reveal any more big developments, along with ANY Q3 revenue. At this point the only question we are asking about the Q3 numbers is how much more than Q2 are they? A great place to be.
That's more than enough to keep me holding all my shares tight regardless of SP fluctuations over the short term, and I have taken the recent opportunity to add where I can, because in my honest opinion ANY right now is an absolute steal.
