excuse me which one?

The first incident

you mean the one where the guy supposedly assaulted the officer,

hit him in the face and then turned to run toward him after a

chase?

hardly walking around shooting people

The second incident I do believe the guy shot at the officer first

Here is the deal, do you honestly believe that the officer shot

either one of those 2 people for doing NOTHING?

just standing there and decided I am gonna kill a person today

BOOM

Whether you think the police should stop you or not, should

question you or not for not doing anything, THAT is not the time

to decide your gonna be combative, period.

comply and take your grievance somewhere else, but both of these

men gave or set up the situation by not complying that the officer

was given a reason or a situation to use deadly force by the

actions of both of them

Your not seeing the forest for the trees here

you want things to be black and white in every situation, pardon

the pun. They are not and the LAST thing anyone should do is

put oneself in a bad situation.

Shooting at a police officer with A GUN, no matter if you are

innocent of what he said you were doing, aint the way to prove

a point or striking an officer with your fist, especially after

committing a strong arm holdup hours before.

I just cant believe you cant really see who is at fault here.

It is of no consequence whether the first guy was armed or not

he was a threat, period and in police parlance that frees them up

Its just the facts and YES, if a 300 pound black OR white man had

just slugged me in the face and could have knocked be unconscious

and taken MY gun and shot ME decided to rush back towards me

in a threatening manner, yep I would shoot him like anyone else

would, including YOU.

LOL

liberty for security

that has nothing to do with this, geez

I like that quote also but does not play here

These 2 men decided to put their life in the hands of a police

officer by their actions, PERIOD...

If the officer didnt have a reason to stop the first guy, then

your ok with people walking around scott free after committing a

hold up, that right? What do you think is going to happen, he is

going to turn himself IN?

In the second incident, he shot at the cop

BAD MOVE

now how does this have to do with sacrificing freedom for

security.

you want criminals to have the freedom to commit robbery and get

away with it

not really my idea of a utopian society if you ask me

When you say"giving up liberty for security",I think that includes those who are in a position of authority, who disregard the law,and use it deny people their rights, while hiding behind the cloak of being"justified",in order to protect themselves form the very law they are supposed to be upholding.
