I think alot of people check the shorts but just think/hope that shorts get caught with their pants around their ankles but I check it daily. The % is absolutely meaningless by itself. You HAVE to check the volume as well. IMO if the % does not positively correlate with volume then its just MM's playing with themselves...literally. I expect this to fluctuate but what I don't expect to see is a downward trend towards the 009's and 008's. Not enough week hands here. Based on the volume long support is high and shorters are just trading amongst themselves. Check the level II's. Just an example but NITE has been at both the ask and the bid alot. Again, not the most technical guy but logic says hands are stronger than weaker and green energy is stronger than most sectors out there. All just IMO. GLTA!

Retailing Shorting is rare in the OTC.

Let's say I wanted to short BBRD as a retail investor, my broker would typically require $2.50 for EVERY SHARE I wanted to short. So let's say I wanted to short $1000 worth of BBRD at it's current price of .011.

$1000 worth of BBRD at .011 is roughly 90909 shares. In order to short BBRD, I would need 90909 shares times $2.50. My trading account would need to have roughly $228,000 in it. Shorting OTC typically isn't worth the time, money, and it is VERY DIFFICULT to locate shares to short.

The large percentage of shorting is the MM's. They're not liking that the whole team here is long and locking the float. They're having to borrow shares (eg. short BBRD). If we keep climbing, the MM's could be forced to cover and we squeeze them and the price goes up :)

If anything I'm saying doesn't sound right, feel free to correct me or chime in.
