Patents is where the money is at and the fact that they can simply license the technology without any other further work on their behalf is big time money!! One patent on the technology could be worth 500 million or more depending on its application and we all know casinos are loaded. Great picture I'm painting here for any longs!!
I don't think it's "pinball" per se that people are getting excited about. It's about the enabling processes built into the pinball machine. They could have used practically any game to demonstrate the ability of the processes but chose pinball because they already had the 'chops' to put it together easier and faster. imo
It's going to be James Industries with the exclusive distribution rights who'll be selling the 'processes' for other types of games. imo
That’s why Joe Kaminkow, arguably the most influential slot machine designer called it, "The best machine of the show". Everyone in the industry knows that slots are declining & something new is needed in the video gaming machine. AND, with NanoTech advantage, ANY chance game can have a bonus player advantage attached to it.
Whether its pinball, or PacMan, it doesn’t matter, this new system gives a much more exciting & interactive experience that draws players in. Everyone in attendance got the concept instantly, & that is why industry leaders like the Wizard of Odds & others were raving about the concept and the game.
Armchair quarter backs with NO gaming industry experience can make whatever uneducated & uniformed claims regarding the "apparent" lack of marketability; but those in the industry & in attendance at G2E were all in agreement IN THAT this is significant to the industry.
Vegas 2047 Pinball was by far the most innovative idea at the show - Wizard of Odds - G2E 2014
Single Greatest Product at this entire show - Wade Andrews of Texas Hold'em Radio - G2E 2014
