All day the price was trending lower and lower on light volume. It settled at $0.04 for the last bit. Then there was some trading activity, finally, in the last 15 minutes.
Took it up to $0.0426. Then the very last trade took it to $0.055. 37.5% higher than $0.04. It did happen that way. Egregious EOD tape painting.
Look at the daily chart. How many trades occurred at $0.055? Does it deserve to have a closing price of $0.055? Because that is what shows up, if you look at the weekly chart, or monthly chart, etc.
It gives the false, and illegal, perception that the stock was trading much higher than it actually was.
