I work for a public company and I believe our stock is going to rise.

But with stock options that are well below the current market price I feel no need to increase my risk for this one equity.

Do I have "no apparent belief in my company"?

Not a chance

I am not looking for a job and I very well plan to profit from our increasing profits and growth.

As we often see, your posts do not look at the whole picture, only your perception (the down side).

although the Chairman of the Board
is the only insider to openly take a stake in the company by the purchase of shares this past 10 months, senior management does have a large stake in seeing the company succeed, since they still own a large majority of their shares and haven't sold any since the run up in early 2000 which is over 3 years ago.
