The Baron - have a look at Empire Energy (EEGC) and see what you think.

They have metals operations as well as rights to oil in Tasmania.

The stock went up nicely recently on some positive news about their Zinc operation.

The oil is a longer play in my opinion, but there is a Chinese connection there at the moment.

I have some suspicions about the secretiveness surrounding the Chinese company (that they do not name), but EEGC is in my speculative category anyway.

Worth taking a look at IMO as the seismic study done a few years ago (which is being redone again at the moment) showed a potential 3 billion barrels of oil and it is on land as well. How hard / thick is the rock? I have no idea, but am still trying to work that out.

baron, JMHO, but I doubt you'll find ANY other small oil company with potential similar to ERHE, in Africa or anywhere else at this time. Not to say there wont be one come along some day, but not in the foreseeable future IMO. Welcome and GL to you

THERE'S ONLY ONE ERHE OUT THERE.

It rights are UNHEARD OF. The deals it has made is stuff legends are made from. and, ....of course, BILLIONS, not millions.

OT - That said, a group of us, known as the Elephant Hunters have previewed over 50 of the TOP minnows in the world. We know the top five ( which are a level down from ERHE ) but do have billion barrel potential and under $50 MM USD marketcap.

Don't want to dis my friends CHCR, Balance and Dadd, so I won't link you up here, but if you choose to find it, look for the EF. LOL, sounding cryptic like Oilphant. If you can't find it, I'm redinvest at yahoo dot com.

and Rhettle, EEGC ....... you are placing your trust in Malcolm, and it' a little premature to do so. JMO. Same with Ken and HYD. A little too much risk. JMO.

Take a look at Hyperdynamics Corp(HDY). They are reworking the PSA for a 16 million acre concession off the coast of Guinea and should be ready to drill their first 4 test wells soon. It is the largest single block anywhere in W. Arfica. It is a very small company with huge potential. Here is a link to the best message board for the stock.
